Biography

Itzel Melgarejo is a Mexican flutist and teaching artist who made her solo debut at the age of 12 with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Xalapa. She has performed as a soloist with some of the finest orchestras in Mexico and recently earned her Master of Music degree from Carnegie Mellon University. Currently, she holds the position of Principal Flutist with the Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de Puebla and serves as a Flute Professor at the Universidad Veracruzana and the Instituto Superior de Música Esperanza Azteca.
